Just wanna add to this discussion as I was having the same problem trying to create an aggregate device with my usb mixer/motu interface. Crackling/weird digital distortion. I'm on a Mac mini M1 running Mac OS 12.6.

hello i have the same probleme, on mu macbook pro I5 Mojave no problem with my qu 16, on my new imac i7 with catalina, there is many crack and noise when i use it to hear music from itunes or youtube. When i make a record in DP10, no problem on macbook I5 Mojave, and many noise and crack on imac I7 catalina.Same cable just take the same without changing anything.

4) Don't fragment and design for 'side' markets, i.e., L/R-handed, or digital 'nomads' perched on corner tables, or 3-monitor power-users etc. One may be falling thru the cracks in between the said markets...
